Week 13 Wrap Up: Writing Blogs and Taking Fat Animal Quizzes

If you wondering about the title... well Planet Earth was happening during the breaks of the game and I mistook a bear for a badger because of a poor angle by the Discovery Channel. Not my fault and I challenged B-squared that I could get 40/50 right.  I got about 37.5/50 therefore I suck.  Anyways here is your wrap-up

Philadelphia 34 Atlanta 7- The Eagles took care of business against the Falcons in a game I would have expected at the beginning of the year. No one seemed to care that Michael Vick returned to Atlanta where he scored twice and the Falcons seem done for.  Even though, he didn't play this week... Matt Ryan fell into a sophomore slump.

Chicago 17 St. Louis 9- Pretty sub-par game all around.  The Bears played decent and they will give the Packers a hell of a game next week, that will be their Super Bowl.

Cincinnati 23 Detroit 13- Another boring game on the weekend slate.  Matthew Stafford had a nice deep ball to Calvin Johnson and Chad OchoCinco had another big game getting into the end zone.  The Bengals need a big game against the Vikings on the road next week.

Indianapolis 27 Tennessee 17- The Colts made the five-game winning streak Titans look like the 0-6 version this weekend.  Indianapolis looked impressive once again and Peyton Manning in my opinion is the MVP of the league right now.

Denver 44 Kansas City 13- The Broncos didn't care about being 1-15 in Arrowhead in December. They just completely dominated the Chiefs in all aspects of the game on Sunday.  Kyle Orton is also a great quarterback in the cold; great test for them next week against the Colts

Miami 22 New England 21- Here is where we get weird in Week 13. The Patriots in the first quarter seemed to be rolling then all the sudden things started getting bad then went to worse.  The two Tom Brady interceptions in the fourth quarter is mind-blowing (one in the end zone). Its getting close to saying it's the end of an era.

Oakland 27 Pittsburgh 24- The Steelers have now lost four straight and the secondary has more leaks then the Tiger Woods saga.  They are awful and they should have ended the game on the final Raider drive. It was unreal to see this team fall from grace just by losing Troy Polomalu, I didn't realize how much he meant to the team.

New Orleans 33 Washington 30 (OT)- The Saints are started to get that "luck" factor in undefeated season aspect.  The Robert Meachem fumble play might have been the luckiest thing I've seen this year plus the missed field goal from inside the twenty-five, cmon son.

Carolina 16 Tampa Bay 6-  BOOOORING.  Nothing cool happened in this game, it was like a bad Entourage episode.  Josh Freeman also threw five interceptions, three in the red zone... yikes.

Jacksonville 23 Houston 18- BOOORING. Also the Chris Brown attempted halfback pass should be the writing on the wall for Gary Kubiak's career as a coach in Houston.

San Diego 30 Cleveland 23- LaDainien Tomlinson got to 150 TDs faster than anyone else. Congrats, LDT d the Chargers playing strong still.  The Browns scored 20+  rejoice!

NY Giants 31 Dallas 24- And here we go... Typical Cowboy December with them having no running game and their starting left tackle likely getting suspended for the next game.  Tony Romo did look good but their defense got torn up by Eli Manning who isnt great in December. Better not fall into any tiebreakers with the Giants because they own the Boys.

Seattle 20 San Francisco 17- The Seahawks get a nice win and the Niners have officially kicked themselves out of the playoff race. Classic team that's one year away, a lot like the Texans last year but I think the Niners are entirely different.

Arizona 30 Minnesota 17-  Rut roh Brett.  In addition, they couldn't run the ball at all and their defense took a huge hit with E.J. Henderson out for the year.  I would be nervous if I was a Viking fans and also the Cards are a team I do not want to see in the playoffs personally.

Green Bay 27 Baltimore 14- Despite all the yellow flags, the Packers played very well on defense on both the running/passing aspects.  The offense needs to be better with the drop balls, but it didn't hurt them as much as I thought it would during the game. B.J. Raji is becoming a game changer, which is something that becomes scary for many teams.

Until next week,

-Charlie.
