Lets begin with our favorite saying at Chuck's Corner.... RUT-ROOOOOOOOOOH. The Minnesota Vikings are in trouble and the fans are in the E zone "Yeah this would happen to us." They have to worried, I would be scared in the fetal position telling me that this isn't happening and would try to ignore all of the reports of ESPN.
If you have been living under a rock, head coach and number one stalker Brad Childress and Brett Favre got into a heated argument when Childress thought his precious Brett was getting hit too hard, wanting to take Favre out of the game and Favre gave him the Stone Cold Salute. He stayed in the game and basically told Childress comparable to Cartman, "Whatever! I do what I want!" So here we go again....
One of stat nerds check this for me but I believe Favre has lost seven straight when the weather dips below 35 degrees. Some of you might say well that will not be an issue in the playoffs as the two seed. But what's saying the Chicago Bears or New York Giants beat the Vikings? I think the Bears would have a shot because the weather will be awful next Monday Night but the Bears are completely lifeless as a football team who just do not care anymore. Therefore Antonio Winfield picks off Jay Cutler and the Vikings win 7-0, sounds right.
If they do lose and Philadelphia wins out then the Eagles have the tie-breaker giving them a home game against Favre in the Divisional Playoffs if Favre wins the Wild Card round. If you forgot 4th and 26, Favre is notoriously bad in city of Brotherly Love. Also Favre would not get the much-needed week of rest if the Vikings found a way to choke the second spot in the playoffs.
I think we are starting to see the wheels come off with Brett Favre, something most of us expected in the month of November but I believe it's happening right now. The defense isn't as strong with E.J. Henderson out and Favre has to do more then he has all season. Also do not forget that Childress is still the head coach who hasn't had a clue since he started coaching and I am sure all the Vikes fans are pumped about that extension.
