NBA Weekly

This is the first installment of NBA Weekly and I am hoping this will be a continuing installment. Just all sorts of news and notes from the NBA.

Bucks looking strong...what?- Yes you have heard that right, but also the Bucks are still under .500 although they have looked damn impressive in the last couple of weeks. Michael Redd has been stroking the ball from anywhere on the court right now. Charlie Villanueva finally looking like a top 10 player and is crashing the boards like none other lately. Bill Walton said "They have played the toughest schedule in the NBA so far." Which I would agree playing their season in NBA Live. I am willing to bet they are a 7 or 8 seed come playoff time.

Lebron crab dribble- In a game against the hapless Washington about a week ago, James got called for traveling late in the game. He claims "it wasnt a travel, just a crab dribble." Looking at the tape, I completely disagree with James. He took four or five steps to the lane so he traveled. Lebron just amazed someone actually called him out on it.

Melo out for 4 weeks- Big time lost for the Nuggets who are 24-12 being three games up in the Northwest Division. The Nuggets are going to need a big time effort out of Chauncey Billiups and J.R. Smith in this month furthermore they need not to have anymore injuries in the time of Melo's absent.

Hornets beat Lakers on the road; Celtics lose five out seven- Two big things happened last night that made a splash around the NBA titles last night. Kobe Bryant who I have always said how clutch he is failed to show up in the fourth quarter last night after dropping thirty-seven in the third quarter while on the other hand Chris Paul had another day at the office with David West going off. The Celtics lost on the road in overtime to the Bobcats and they now have lost five out seven. People are calling for Stephon Marbury and I have been saying Michael Redd would be a perfect fit as the six man for the Celtics unless the Bucks collapse in the next month that will not happened. Great moment in that game when Paul Pierce hit the tying shot and stared down Michael Jordan after. Then after Pierce had an awful turnover in the overtime, Jordan pointed the other way emphatically.

There's a reason he is the Great One.

-Charlie.
