Mountain West Knockin' on BCS' Door

The Mountain West just started playing this song and blared to the BCS committee as they are fighting for a chance to become part of the BCS family. Unfortunately, they do not have enough good teams in and out every year, only just a couple strong teams so I have a suggestion.

First off lets take Utah and BYU who are big time rivals so lets keep them in the same division so we put them in the Pac 10 so then they have twelve teams. How great would it be to see how a Utah team does against USC or Oregon when they have a strong year. You could then have a Pac-10 championship and slipt the divison in the Northwest (Washington, Wash. State, Oregon, Oregon State, BYU, and Utah) Southwest (Arizona, Arizona State, USC, UCLA, California, Stanford). These teams could also compete in basketball which is always the worry when you move teams around.

Now what to do about TCU? That one is simple as well. You move them to the Big 12 and move Iowa State to the Big Ten therefore you have 12 teams in both conferences. My only concern with that one is you almost have to put TCU with the Big 12 North because there are too many rivalries you cannot break up. So either you can move Baylor or TCU to the Big 12 North. Also then you have some great rivalries and recruiting battles within the state of Texas.

The rest of the conference would stay the same and I would suggest they move in some D-1AA teams who in a couple years will become an alright team. It only took UConn about four years to become a pretty good team in the Big East so I do not see why the Mountain West could do the same.

I believe this is a logical solution to solve the BCS problems.
