Brew Crew Lands Hoffman

This has been quite the busy week for free agent signing and now this one involves my team the Milwaukee Brewers as we landed Trevor Hoffman, the all time saves leader.

Hoffman was booed at Petco Park during a rough stretch in May this year and I tink Hoffman has a chip on his shoulder to prove people wrong. He is still a great pitcher and still feared in Major League Baseball. Hoffman saved thirty out of his thirty four games attempted which is much better Eric Gagne. He also had only 3.77 ERA and if it wasnt for walks, he shut down most right handers. That number may seem low but the Padres only won 63 games so he closed out half of the games. Hoffman is by no means washed up and I think will be very successful this year.

This doesnt mean that the Brewers bullpen woes will be solved but I think the combination of Seth McClung in the 8th and Hoffman in the 9th would be destructive. They could use two or three more players in the bullpen to make it reliable.

My only fear with Hoffman is he isnt playing at Petco Park every home game, he is at Miller Park which is very homer friendly so I hope that doesnt affect him too much.

More than ready to hear Hell Bells.

-Charlie.
