Brian Bruney Doesnt Like to Party

I really dont know if this is true or not although Bruney, a relief pitcher for the New York Yankees is acting like he has a huge stick up his ass. His quote thanks to the Newsday....

"Couldn't have happened to a better guy on the mound, either," Bruney told the Hunterdon County Democrat. "He's got a tired act. He gets what he deserves, man. I just don't like watching the guy pitch. I think it's embarrassing."

Bruney is referring to Friday night's game where Luis Castillo, the second basemen of the New York Mets dropped a pop up costing the Mets the ball game. In addition, Bruney is talking about his joyous celebrations after he closes out the game. Right now in Major League Baseball I am so sick and tired of hearing about people sick of celebrating in baseball. K-Rod and Bruney had to be separated by teammates when they saw it each other on Sunday during batting practice which was the complete wrong way to handle it if you were K-Rod.

First people still have a huge problem with the Brewers Ryan Braun looking at his home runs which I dont think he does that bad unless its a big time moment. Why wouldnt you celebrate like Braun? You just tied up the game late, or you won the game... your trying to tell me that you wouldnt get excited? Cmon. If K-Rod wants to rejoice after he struck out the side in the 9th go ahead, I have no problem. I dont get what Bruney's big deal is anyways? He barely plays against K-Rod now that he is in that National League and Bruney is a damn good pitcher himself when he is healthy. Although maybe the guy likes to bitch; I mean he blames replay for hurting his elbow as Tim Opsal and I have said "Bullshit junior."

The whole part of "keeping baseball classy" is insane. No sport has much class anymore and no one has seemed to make a big deal about it. NFL has guys like Chad Ocho Cinco putting on a gold jacket, NBA has guys popping their jerseys left and right, and NHL has Alexander Oveckin is jumping into the glass after a goal. These guys playing sports arent like the guys our fathers watched throughout the years and the overall public needs to realize that once in awhile.

When it comes to baseball, I just dont get why players have to stone faced when they play the game and they cannot get excited. Please, we all have some emotion once in awhile and if some like to do it more than others than so be it.

-Charlie.
