Brewers Sign Looper

The Brewers made the depth of the pitching staff a little bit stronger yesterday as its pretty much a done deal for Braden Looper, former Cardinal to become a Brewer.

This is a good move by Doug Melvin because I am assuming the amount we paid is around 6 million over a year something along those lines so its not like we are giving this a Suppan deal. Not only that but the Crew added experience to their staff with featured Yovani Gallardo (1 year), Manny Parra (1 year), and either Carlos Villanueva/Seth McClung (2-3 years). So now they have a pretty solid mix of young and old guys.

Looking at Looper's stats, he is a consistent pitcher which is something the Brewers need yet the fans will become uspet with Looper, trust me. People are finally starting to realize that despite having some bad starts mixed in, Dave Bush was the most dependable pitcher on the Brewers staff.

I cannot begin to tell you guys how excited I am about the season to start in 2 months, its going to great.

-Charlie.
