Top 25 Picks: Were We Dont Get Political

As I said this is a sports blog so it will never try to something that it is not but I do want to say one thing about President Obama and every Wisconsinite can agree on this one... "He's from Chicago and not a Cubs fan."

As for the picks, Seth was very busy this week so possibly next week we will do the damn thing.

1. Alabama-at 16. LSU- This could be one of those Saturdays where every team seems to be on upset alert all throughout the day. I think this is the first victim, both teams are coming off cupcakes wins and the Tigers would like nothing more than to end Saban's undefeated season in the valley. The biggest key for LSU will be to not turn the ball over if that happens they win. LSU 20-17

2. Texas Tech-vs. 9. Oklahoma St.- Thankfully for the Red Raiders, they arent the ones who go on the road and this game people could assume a letdown but in my opinion, I think it will be far from it. These teams hate each other so expect a hard fought game and a shootout. Once again, I think it comes down to a Harrell-Crabtree TD late in the game. TTECH 42-38

3. Penn State-at Iowa- My buddy Josh has hyping this game up to me for the last three weeks now. I enjoy watching Iowa and their talented, vastly underrated running back Shonn Greene but I just dont think they have it in them to beat Penn State. It will be close throughout bet on that. PSU 21-17

4. Texas-vs. Baylor- Robert Griffith of Baylor threw his first interception last weekend and the Bears have put up a fight against some of the tough teams of the Big 12 but the Longhorns will come in heated ready to play and it will get ugly. TEXAS 38-6

5. Florida-at Vanderbilt- Be weary of this one Gator fans. I know Vandy hasnt done much after the 5-0 start but its a night game plus they play very well at home. Tim Tebow will be too much for the Commodores but it will be a lot closer than people think. UF 31-23

6. Oklahoma-at Texas A&M- Remember when the Sooners put 77 up at Kyle Field? Could it happen again? You bet, with the nations best offense but it wont get that ugly, although the Aggies have no one on their team that excites me. OKLA 49-24

7. USC-vs. 21. California- This is basically the Pac-10 championship game and Pete Carroll has said the "BCS stinks". California is good at home but when they head on the road, they have been shaky at best. This game has been a classic before (Rodgers vs. Leinart, anyone?) but this one will be done by mid-fourth quarter. USC 34-20

8. Utah- vs. 12. TCU- Well its looks like these BCS-busters arent going anywhere but for everyone's sake, we are all pulling for the Horned Frogs to win this one as they already have one lost but honestly the Utes have been the toughest at home, and I think they continue that trend tomorrow. UTAH 35-31

9. Oklahoma State- see 2. Texas Tech

10. Boise State- vs. Utah State- Well this is one game I know Seth wouldnt mess up because well, Utah State is one of the worst programs in all of Division 1. Boise 56-0

11. Ohio State- at 24. Northwestern- I think this one of the best games of the weekend as the Wildcats could really make a statement by beating the Buckeyes for the first time in awhile. Ryan Field has always been a house of horrors for good teams and I think you will see a big time upset in the Big 10. NW 31-28

12. TCU-See 8. Utah

13. Georgia-at Kentucky- The Wildcats are good middle level team in the SEC but nowhere near good enough to beat a Georgia team who will be fired up after getting the shit kicked out of them. Dawgs big. UGA 41-9

14. Missouri-vs. Kansas State- Just announced today, the Wildcats coach Ron Prince will not return which is somewhat surprising because he has a young talent in Josh Freeman and had an alright year last year plus with the difficultly of the big 12 this year, its no surprise he is 4-5. Well anyways, it doesnt get any easier, this one will be ugly. MIZZOU 42-7

15. BYU-vs. San Diego State- Another one Seth wouldnt screw up. The Aztecs are worse than the new Paris Hilton movie. BYU 63-0

16. LSU-see 1. Alabama

17. Ball State-vs. Northern Illinois- The Cardinals last test in my opinion to achieve an undefeated season and Lee Corso put them on Upset Alert. I am picking with my heart but this is the only team I would love to see go unbeaten in honor of Dante Love. BSU 27-20

18. Michigan State-vs. Purdue- Well the Boilermakers won their first Big Ten game on a hook/ladder against Michigan but against this team that will do not good. Javon Ringer will run wild. MSU 35-10

19. Georiga Tech-vs. 20. North Carolina- Good ACC matchup where it seems like there is a new favorite every weekend. In my opinion, these are the two best teams and I really like the Yellow Jackets to prevail in this battle. GT 24-21

20. North Carolina-see 19. Georgia Tech

21. California-see 7. USC

22. Florida State-vs. Clemson- The Bowd.... whoops, no more of that false rivalry. The Tigers will continue to disappoint as the Seminoles will take of business in this one to keep pace in the ACC. FSU 31-17

23. Maryland-at Virgina Tech- Another wild ACC game as the Terps find themselves back in the top 25 but it will not last as the Hokies have owned on Thursday night plus its in Blacksburg. VT 24-17

24. Northwestern-see 11. Ohio State

25. West Virgina-vs. Cincinnati- Another conference that no team can seem to take full control of until now that is. I think the Mountaineers have figured out what it takes to win again and they will make a statement against the Bearcats. WV 28-7

Other Games to Watch
Wisconsin at Indiana
Michigan at Minnesota
Louisville at Pittsburgh
Kansas at Nebraska
Notre Dame at Boston College

Enjoy.
