Lebron PR Disaster

Lebron doesnt screw up much but he did yesterday as he called Charles Barkley, "Stupid."

This stems from Barkley saying that Lebron was "disrespectful" for talking about all of the free agency issues when he was in New York at Tuesday. I thought it was insane that the media jumped all over the simple fact that Lebron's Cavalier team was playing in New York for a game. It wasnt a playoff game or a critical game, just one out of the 82 NBA games played in the season. Therefore it was James' fault for addressing the issue more so the media fault for bringing it up. I felt bad for James because its not like this summer he is a free agent, no its two years away from him being a free agent. Granted, I believe he is destined for New York, it shouldnt be discussed in the 2008-2009 season.

Now whether it was in the heat of the moment or just LBJ being pissed off about the whole situation, he shouldnt have called one of the most beloved NBA analyst stupid. LBJ should have just phrased it as, "Barkley needs to worry about his issues then mine" or "I am good friends with Sir Charles, and he should know I am not doing anything to disrespect the Cavs." Either a cold answer or a politically correct answer would have been perfect. Now any Inside the NBA interview becomes ten times more awkard.
