NFL Picks Week 9

This week is a showdown for so many teams who want to keep their head above water in the playoff races in the AFC and NFC.

New York Jets (4-3) at Buffalo (5-2)- Finally, Brett Favre has a key game this weekend and if he can wins this one, he puts his Jets in good position to make a run at the AFC East title. Buffalo has to prove themselves after losing to Miami which was their first AFC East game this year. I think the Bills will get it done late in the game. BUF 24-21

Detroit (0-7) at Chicago (4-3)- The Bears have really benefited from a pretty easy schedule but Kyle Orton should be able to light them up all day long as the Lions continue to not win a game. CHI 35-13

Jacksonville (3-4) at Cincinnati (0-8)- We have seen the Jags having a disappointing season so far but good thing they are playing the Bengals despite likely having Carson Palmer back, it should be a blow out by the Jags. JAX 31-10

Baltimore (4-3) at Cleveland (3-4)- Critical matchup for the Browns as they are trying to come back from a rough start and this would definitely do it if they can win. I am really not impressed with either team but I think this game will come down whose defense is better, which is probably the Ravens. BALT 17-9

Green Bay (4-3) at Tennessee (7-0)- This game scared me on the schedule at the beginning of the year before the Titans success. I think this game will be a defensive struggle and I really think the Packers run defense is better than people talk about. They need to come with the same fire they did against the Colts. GB 20-13

Arizona (4-3) at St. Louis (2-5)- I think the Rams have proven they arent as bad as they started out and I think the Cardinals better not overlook the Rams. I dont like how the Cards have to travel for the second straight week, I like the Rams in the upset. STL 27-20

Houston (3-4) at Minnesota (3-4)- This game is big for both teams as the Texans want to prove they are better than just beating the sisters of the poor. Although I think the Texans wont be use to playing in dome atmosphere and the Vikings will be take control in the fourth quarter. MINN 31-17

Tampa Bay (5-3) at Kansas City (1-6)- Another battle of two teams going in different directions, I think the Bucs will be able to take advantage of a Chief team who lost Larry Johnson for another week. TB 28-16

Miami (3-4) at Denver (4-3)- The Dolphins have a tough task of going up to the Rocky Mountain air and Chad Pennington wants to prove that the last couple weeks werent a fluke. He will have a big game but it wont be enough. DEN 27-23

Atlanta (4-3) at Oakland (2-5)- I got burned last weekend by picking the Raiders which I will never do again as the Falcons should take care of Oakland, they are becoming a very good team and Matt Ryan is a lock for Rookie of the Year. ATL 31-24

Dallas (5-3) at New York Giants (6-1)- This game will be as close to a blowout as you can get. The Cowboys will play inspired for awhile but the Giants d-line is too good plus the Boys' are as banged up as you can get. NYG 35-14

Philadelphia (4-3) at Seattle (2-5)- The Seahawks had a nice win last week and could win this one as the Eagles have a long way to travel but the Hawks dont have enough to beat the Eagles as they will roll. PHI 31-20

New England (5-2) at Indianapolis (3-4)- How great was it to not hear the hype behind this game all week. Its definitely watered down compared from the last couple of years. I think Peyton Manning will have a break-out game in this one. IND 34-20

Pittsburgh (6-2) at Washington (6-2)- Good matchup between two tough teams and at halftime, we all get our worst nightmare hearing Chris Berman interview John McCain and Barack Obama, good God. I dont the Redskins are there just yet. PITT 21-20

I have to go opposite ways on you with 4 games. Miami, Houston, Cleveland, and Tennessee. The Packers may have an underated rush defense but CJ and Lendale is too much. Houston should've beat Indi and JAX and should be 5-2. Schaub is highly underated and they could possibly have one of the best offenses in the leauge. Depth at WR and Slaton emerging with veteran backup in Green. Cle/Bal is a toss up but Cleveland is starting to finally come around and I dont have faith in Flacco. As for Miami Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown will both score in a rout of Denver.

As for all your other games great analysis and picks.

FINALLY CHUCK! You are finally havin faith in my Falcons ;) Tough loss to Eagles last week, it was a one score game with 2 min left, when the falcons PR muffed the catch and turned it over. Wild Card contenders????
