It's Miller Time in Arizona

Sean Miller had a change of heart.

He decided that it was time to take the next step in his coaching career and move on to the Arizona Wildcats only a day after he told Arizona no thanks. I think this is a great decision by the Wildcats and I would consider a definite upgrade from their original choice of Tim Floyd.

Unfortunately for Miller, he will be without Chase Bundinger and Jordan Hill who both decided to hire agents to go to the NBA. Also Nic Wise said he would "test the waters" but most people believe that Wise will be back for next season. He doesnt have much to work with after that so it definitely could be a year or two before the Cats get on the rise again.

I personally think Miller can do it just like the others that have came before him at Xavier. Starting off with Pete Gillian who was very successful at Providence, not so much at Virgina, then the late Skip Prosser who did a great job at Wake Forest and finally Thad Matta who has done a great job not only recruiting also winning at Ohio State.

For Xavier fans out there, I really feel by now most of them realize that their school is a great basketball school but it hasnt become a Memphis-like school where the head coach will only take a once in a lifetime offer like John Calipari at Kentucky. I dont know what it will take for Xavier to go to that next level but I am convinced it could happen.
