Consistency is something the Brewers have not found yet and its starting to become a concern for people at least who I have talked to. I understand losing a series or two on the road but losing two of them at home is something that shouldnt happen to the Crew.
Monday: I said this last week about Tim Lincecum and will say it again with Edinson Volquez if you get multiple runs on him like 5, you should be able to win the ball game. Instead, the Crew walked the park and Yovani Gallardo had probably his worst start of his professional career.
Tuesday: Manny Parra pitched pretty well albeit giving up three runs but he was unable to get any run support from the offense whose hands were tied by a Brewer Killer Bronson Arroyo. He always seems to get up for the Brewers.
Wednesday: A win! The Brewers get the bats going with a multi-homer game from Mike Cameron whose playing the best in the lineup right now. Also another stellar performance by Rickie Weeks and Braden Looper pitched well once again.
Friday: This one was frustrating after Dave Bush gives up three in the first, the Brewers battle back with Ryan Braun's first homer of the year to give them a 4-3 lead. I didnt agree with Macha going with Mitch Stetter to face Gary Sheffield, I think if we go righty there that homer doesnt happen. Also if the Big Red Nasty could pull his head of his ass that would be awesome.
Saturday: Great pitcher duel between Yo and Johan Santana. I dont really expect much facing Johan and they really did all they could do against arguably the best pitcher in the NL. Then in the 9th, we all got introduce to K-Rod in the National League which is the scariest of thoughts.
Sunday: A good finisher with Jeff Suppan pitching very strong for the Brewers and Kam once again went yard which was a huge homer looking back. Also I love the way Todd Coffey has been playing in the first two weeks and if you see him out of the bullpen, he defines "Comin' in hot."
This week is a rough one heading to Philadelphia which is my least favorite place for the Crew to play then its off to Houston where the Brewers are either really good or really bad there. But hitter-friendly so there's no reason for some of the bats to get going.
