I hate to be cynical about the Packers season already but this seems to be a repeat of 2008 season when it comes to injuries. The Pack lost Atari Bigby for a month with a sprained knee and now will have Aaron Rouse as the Strong Safety.
I think the Packers will be fine without Bigby but now this raises the question, Ted why didn't you cut Rouse and have Anthony Smith? I think it should be pointed out that Rouse had hamstring problems through all of a training camp having him missed most of it. Also Greg Bedard of the Journal Sentinel and others thought he might even get cut. Smith was a guy who yes talks some shit but Smith knew what he was doing in that 3-4 defense. He was throwing around big hits and playing good football.
In addition, you have to worry about Rouse's health. Not only his hamstring has created problems for him in the past. I will be on pins and needles for the whole month that Bigby is out for. I really dont want to have relieve 2008 where Charlie Peprah trying to cover wide receiver when he really does belong in the CFL.
