I know I missed the Ken Macha's boat (if you dont know what I am talking about look at the Journal Sentinel picture on Tuesday) with this article but to be honest it needs to be cover in a blog that have a major focus on Wisconsin sports.
On Sunday, the first wave of shots were fired between Ryan Braun and Doug Melvin when Braunie made a comment about the starting pitching....
"Their starting pitching is a lot better than ours," Braun said. "They threw the ball a lot better than our starters did, and they swung the bats better than we did as well. Clearly, they were the better team. It's nice to get one win, but they clearly outperformed us in this series."
Speaking of the woeful series against the Chicago Cubs this weekend and Braun basically said what was on the mind of all the fans we were thinking about for the last two weeks now. I mean I could tell Braun that he needs to look at more sliders in the dirt and his batters need to deliver with guys with running in scoring position too. I have no problem with Braun saying what he did but he should have have kept it to himself.
Now what was the worst idea possible the General Manager Doug Melvin decided he needed to say something as well. Here is his quote... "It was inappropriate for him to say what he said, and I'm not happy about it," Melvin told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Monday. "To make the statements he made and also get on his teammates like that, it was irresponsible on his part. It just ticked me off."
Why even go there with Braun? I feel like Melvin needed to show off his ego and whose the boss in this franchise. Thats absolute crap, we should have learned from the Brewers beat writers that Braun/Melvin had a meeting and thats all we know. That is what should have happened instead of Melvin releasing this quote. Then Braun and him had that meeting I mentioned before after the spat now Doug is a "cool" guy.
I think the fact of the matter is Braun wants to win more than anyone not named Prince Fielder and sometimes he cant control his intensity. He is a young guy and these things will happen. Hopefully this will spark another run as most Braun rants do.

The Best 1-2 Punch are All-Stars
I think you should all know by now who I am referring to and that is Ryan Braun/Prince Fielder making the All-Star team. Both guys are having great seasons and deserved to be in there although there were two Brewers left off the list.
First off, I would like to say respectively to St. Louis... suck it. Braun was the top vote getter for outfielders which seems pretty hard to do when you are the most hated player in baseball. I think it clearly shows that everybody is taking notice of what Braun is doing and unlike Colin Cowherd comments, people do care about Braun. In the days of fantasy sports, guys like Braun are watched with a careful eye to see what they are doing from day to day and people like the fact that Braun is a bit brash. People always love the rock star and thats what Braunie is.
Now on to Prince, he is having one of the best seasons I have seen from a Brewer. He has amazed with his new found ability to hit the ball to left field and center where you hardly see teams putting on the shift for Fielder. In addition, he has been driving in more runs than anyone whose not a robot so his new found love for clutch hitting has been awesome. If its not for Albert Pujols' incredible year so far I believe that Prince is the MVP of the National League.
It is a true shame that both Trevor Hoffman and Yovani Gallardo did not make the All Star Game. The Hoff has been the savior of Milwaukee so far with his lights out performances in the 9th inning. We have never had a closer where as Brewers fans we know its game over once Trevor steps in. I hope he doesnt slow down and has a great second half. As for Yovani, I dont think anyone is actually watching what Yo is doing day in day out because he should be in St. Louis. Further, he should really be 10-3 right now but due to one bad pitch in Detroit and no run support against New York, he is a disappointing 8-5.

Brewers Weekly: Ryan Braun's Swagger > than Yours
The big topic of the discussion of the Brewers 5-2 week was Ryan Braun's confidence. If you didnt know, Braun was hit in the head by Ryan Dumpster on an attempted bunt well Ryan then hit a homer next at-bat where he looked at it and kept talking shit all the way through the homer. There was a video on YouTube (got taken down), the Cubs announcers just ripped Braun and tell him "Well he will get hit in the ribs." People who feel that Braun is "overconfident" or "cocky"are just plain idiots. I love the fact that he basically says to pitchers "I am going to homer off no matter what." I personally enjoy that we have a guy on our team that a lot of teams do not like and the other thing that pisses me off is the Cubs have guys like Alfonso Soriano and Aramis Ramirez both look at their home runs like it was their first. Now on to the Brewers week...
Monday: I wrote last week about how great Rickie Weeks' year has been so far and he continued that with a three-run homer in the ninth inning. Another comeback win for the Brewers when their ace Yovani Gallardo wasnt at his best and when the Crew is winning like that, things are going well.
Tuesday: Once again, the overall ownage of the Pirates happened again with another victory. The other great thing was to see JJ Hardy break out of his season-long slump so far and Corey Hart also had big game. As Bailey said in a Facebook status, "Next time National Security has problems with Pirates, they should call the Brewers."
Wednesday: JJ Hardy hit a three run homer in the first then Ryan Braun hit a grand slam in the second and it was game over from the on out. Manny Parra needed a confidence builder and this was it so I really hope that Parra will have his shit straight for awhile.
Thursday: You hate to see the pitcher beat you but when its Micah Owings, its basically like having an actual ninth batter. Braden Looper had his first bad start of the year and I am okay with that right now at this season.
Friday: A great outing by Dave Bush and I expected to get dominated by Randy Wells making his major league debut. Then JJ puts a charge in on the sixth and Ryan Braun puts a dent to win in the 8th. Great, great win.
Saturday: This was a great game to watch because the game was in limbo for awhile until Craig Counsell, yes that Craig Counsell hits a homer then Ryan Braun hits one shortly there after. Then they tack six more in the inning then three more in the next.
Sunday: It was a game the Brewers should have win with all of the guys they left on base but what can you do it happens all the time. Just so it doesnt happen consistently its okay. The Jason Kendall (great series for him) error killed the Crew during that third inning.

Brewers Weekly: Thats More Like It
All it took was a Ryan Braun quotable once again to get the Brewers in shape because after he shoulders all the blame on him and his teammates, they go 5-2 for the week with Braun punishing the ball hitting .565 3 homers and I believe 10 RBIs, just tore the cover on the ball and it also helped the rest of the team.
Tuesday: The Brewers got their asses kicked and another Manny Parra defeat who is becoming the new "Dave Bush" because all of the fans are shoveling their hatred towards him. My Dad and I believe that its all in Parra's head so we hope he can rite the ship.
Wednesday: Mark this date because this is the day Doz fell in love with Braden Looper. He gave the Brewers the quality start that they needed and just dominated the Phillies all game long. Todd Coffey did give me a scare in the 9th but was able to lock it down for the save.
Thursday: Dave Bush's haters where ya at?! He goes into the 8th with a no-hitter before Matt Stairs hit a pinch-hit homer which sucked but the Brewers were able to knock Cole Hamels out in the fourth inning after Braunie homered and Prince hit one off his shoulder. Bush's April is very promising
Friday: All I gotta say is YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. He goes complete and the Brewers had a great two-out rally where I believe every hit was the opposite field which is awesome to see the Crew do because they havent done that in awhile.
Saturday: Before the game everyone was doubting Jeff Suppan's start and it wasnt the greatest although Bill Hall saved his ass by hitting a three-run shot in the sixth. Then this game got crazy just going back and forth starting in the 8th inning with both pitcher staffs just struggling but then in the 11th, Ryan Braun delivered Corey Hart for the win.
Sunday: Not expecting much with most of the back-ups innings and Parra did have an alright start compared to his others. He needs to stop walking pitchers because that is the worst thing you could do.

Braun to Play in World Baseball Classic
Some programming notes, I dont know if there will be many articles up here until Friday but then again who knows, if there is news and I have a computer, I will give you articles. Dont think I am slowing down though, just a busy time of year. Also I promise something special for January 1st. Now on to the article
Some fans hate when their guys play in tournaments like the World Baseball Classic but personally I love that Ryan Braun has agreed to play in the tournament. First off this is an excellent public relations move for Braun because he is able to gain exposure which at times is very hard to do it in the greater Midwest. Therefore he becomes a superstar not playing in New York or Los Angelas to people
People are worried that this will relate into a slow start to begin the season and granted I am concerned although not that worried with Braun's natural talent. In addition, Braun had a shitty start last year and he turned out alright by the end of the year.
As an overall fan, this is a great choice by the US National team, he is a clutch hitter and provides the US team with all-around skills. I also wouldnt be shocked if he does a lot of DHing during the games due to other good players out in Left Field.
