Here is one of our favorite posts, which is the NBA Weekly. We usually take two NBA topics make them into one column to get to my readers faster. If you follow me on Twitter (/chuckscorner), a fan of Facebook (Chuck's Corner), or just like to read my stuff, thank you for it.
The Return of the Answer: For some reason everyone seems to be excited that Allen Iverson is returning to Philadelphia 76ers to relive the glory days where he once screamed about practice! We talkin' bout' practice!!! Sorry I had to do it one more time, always good to bring back. This isn't a good move for the team chemistry and once again, the Sixers are overrated. Elton Brand isn't playing well and the only real thing they have going for them is Andre Iguodala. Iverson will disrupt team chemistry... why? Because he always does, since Philly he hasn't gone to a team and not caused problems. Coming back to the City of Brotherly Love will make no difference. The Sixers realized they were losing money and decided they need more ticket money therefore bring back the hero of the early 2000s for the town. After the honeymoon is over in a couple weeks, people will realize that he is a shell of his former self.
Bless your Heart Ron: In my opinion, this tops the Tiger Woods scandal going on right now. Ron Artest admitted to drinking Hennessey during halftime of games while playing for the Chicago Bulls. Now most would be outraged but you know why I cannot? It's Ron Artest! Nothing this guy does surprises me anymore especially after the Michael Jackson Tribute and the Jimmy Kimmel Show. I probably should be more upset, but in all honesty, I think after the Malice in the Palace he truly turned his life around somewhat, still batshit crazy. Although a couple things I wonder about is how the hell does he play basketball after taking sips of Hennessey at halftime? I would love to see the splits from those years. "Oh look at those second-half numbers, Ron must have drunk a half a bottle!" It cannot be good and I do wonder if the drinking increases when the Bulls were getting blown out or winning big. Maybe Jamie Foxx was right.. Blame it on the Henny.

NBA Preview: Atlantic Division
The Atlantic Division is one that will not be much of a race and I only have one of their teams in the playoffs right now.
1. Boston Celtics: KEY PLAYERS: PF Kevin Garnett, SF Paul Pierce, SG Ray Allen OUTLOOK: The Celts have a chance to bring back that 2007 swagger because they have a healthy KG plus Rasheed Wallace coming off the bench. In addition, Boston will be the most badass team in the NBA this year. PREDICTION: 1st in the Eastern Conference
2. Philadelphia 76ers: KEY PLAYERS: PF Elton Brand, SF Andre Igoudala, PG Lou Williams OUTLOOK: The Sixers look like they have a chance at the playoffs but I feel they really screwed themselves with the Jrue Holiday pick this year. Also I dont trust Brand to stay healthy. PREDICTION: 9th in the Eastern Conference.
3. Toronto Raptors: KEY PLAYERS: PF Chris Bosh, SF Hedo Turkolgu, PG Jose Calderon OUTLOOK: Expect a huge year from Bosh in a contract year but I think Hedo will not work out at all for the Raptors. This is a huge year for the Raptors to keep their franchise players which I dont think happens. PREDICTION: 10th in the Eastern Conference.
4. New York Knicks: KEY PLAYERS: PG Nate Robinson, PF David Lee PF Al Harrington OUTLOOK: The Knicks are going to hope that they have one more year and then it will all change. This year will not be pretty again with no real true scorer. PREDICTION: 12th in the Eastern Conference.
5. New Jersey Nets: KEY PLAYERS: PG Devin Harris, C Brook Lopez, SG Courtney Lee OUTLOOK: It could be an ugly year for them and once the Moscow Assassin take over Lawrence Frank will be fired plus the team will be brand new in a couple years. PREDICTION: 15th in the Eastern Conference.

Gotta Love the NBA System
Oh David Stern how you have done it again. Once again, I would love to cheer on how you seemingly find a way to screw things up in the NBA Playoffs no matter what in the last five years.
Heres what Stern did which was wrong, he decided to suspended Dwight Howard for game six tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers for his elbow against Samuel Dalembert. It did look like he punched Dalembert and Stern was right to suspend him, he deserved it. It was interesting to see from Howard because I have been a guy who has called him out on not being intense enough and needing to see more fire. I am happy to see this from Howard to show he cares and if I were a Magic fan I would be pleased.
The thing that is wrong with the system is Stern decided to not to fine Rajon Rondo for his bitchslap on Brad Miller (granted for looking like an idiot, Miller deserves this) then misses two free throws which lost it in overtime. He got fined but not suspended for game six. Why is this? Well Stern wants to make sure that this is the best first round series that we have seen in a long while. I dont think there's one person that could tell me that Stern isnt protecting Rondo for this slap. I like it that did it it because the game tonight should be awesome as well.

Cheeks Gets the Boot
Another coach got in the NBA got fired and this time I feel its well-deserving as the Philadelphia 76ers ousted Maurice Cheeks after a 9-14 start.
The Sixers were expected to be a top notch team in the East with Andre Igoudala, Elton Brand, and Andre Miller but have failed to do so in the first twenty some games. Cheeks record in Phillie has not been the best of records so it makes sense that the Sixers see this as a great time for a new head coach.
Another reason why this makes sense is because the gap between the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers versus everyone else in the East is widening by the day. The Sixers have all the tools to contend in the East but if they dont improve their record, they will have to face one of these teams in the playoffs or not even get there. That would make the Elton Brand contract seem obsolete.
Final thoughts on this is that with the Phillies winning the World Series, the city is craving to win and they are a "basketball-first town" They want to get back to the days of Dr. J or even sooner, back to being competitive with Allen Iverson. A change needed to be made.
