Top 25 Picks

This probably will not get done before the Pittsburgh-USF game because I have been really busy this week and the next with school so after those two weeks I will be able to blog more but here we go with the pics.

1.Oklahoma- At Baylor- Yikes, this one will not be hard for the new #1. Baylor has a good up and coming QB but nowhere near the talent to beat Oklahoma. OKLA 52-3

2. Alabama- vs. Kentucky- Now Kentucky isnt the team they were last year but they have not played bad this year plus I could see Alabama letting down this weekend. It will be close but I think Bama should win this one. BAMA 31-24

3.LSU-Bye

4.Missouri- At Nebraska- Missouri hasn't won in Lincoln, Nebraska since 1978 so its been awhile and they could definitely win this one but it will not be easy. The Blackshirts barely lost to Virigina Tech at home and I think this game is the best chance to see a top 10 team go down although Chase Daniel will prevail. MIZZOU 35-31

5. Texas- At Colorado- The Longhorns head into their first real competetior this season when they travel to Boulder to play the Buffs. Colorado beat a decent West Virgina team and I think this one will be down to the wire but Colt McCoy generates a final drive to win it. TEX 31-28

6. Penn State- At Purdue- Joe Pa's boys have established themselves as the top team in the Big 10 so far and I personally think they are really good. Purdue isnt a bad team so they need not to overlook him but overall Daryll Clark is too much to handle for the Boilermakers and will win this game with ease. PSU 35-20

7. Texas Tech- At Kansas State- Wow lots of top 10 teams taking their show on the road this week. Once again, the Red Raiders first compition and K-State hasnt looked all that good this year but they do have Josh Freeman at the helm. Too bad he doesnt play defense. Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree tear them apart. TTech 38-17

8. BYU- At Utah State- I will address my feelings on BYU and Utah in an article tomorrow hopefully but cmon BYU continues to play the sisters of the poor. BYU 52-0

9. USC- vs. 23.Oregon- I know the Trojans are glad this game isnt being played in Oregon and the Ducks are still without a quarterback which will spell big troubles heading into this matchup with the Trojans. USC will be fired up and win this one big. USC 34-13

10. South Florida- vs. Pittsburgh- I realize this game is going on as I write but I honestly have no idea whats going with the game. No matter, I think Pitt is way too inconsistent to get anything done against USF tonight. They are the class of the Big East (not saying much) and will show that here tonight. USF 35-21

11. Georgia- Bye

12. Florida- at Arkansas- Talk about a rough stretch for the Razorbacks (Bama, Texas, Florida). The Gators will do as much damage as the last two teams. FLA 45-10

13. Auburn- at 19.Vanderbilt- An interesting matchup we got here between the Tigers and Commodores. Auburn has yet to prove if they have the offense to be a top 15 team and we havent seen Vandy beat anyone good minus Ole Miss. I think Chris Mixson and the Commodores get it done, they remind me alot of the Kentucky team of last year. VANDY 21-17

14. Ohio State- at 18. Wisconsin- At the beginning of the year, if you were to tell me that both teams would be out of the top 10, I would of said you were out of your mind. Also it seems like bad luck when I pick the Wisconsin team to win (0-3 so far). Although honestly, the Buckeyes have played the best against the Badgers when they are at Madison also with the pressure Michigan was getting, one can only think what the Buckeyes can generate. Hard for me to do this but... OSU 17-13

15. Utah- vs. Oregon State- Atleast this non-BCS team has some balls and plays solid BCS teams like Michigan and OSU. It will be very hard for the Beavers to get up for this game as they did for the USC one but I like what Jacquizz Rodgers does for the Beavers which means another non-BCS team's dream is shattered. ORSU 35-21

16. Kansas- at Iowa State- File this one under, I could care less about the outcome of this one. Iowa State doesnt look like a very strong team and they will get beat this weekend against the fighting Manginos. KU 42-20

17. Boise State- Beat La. Tech 38-3, who plays on a Wednesday?

18. Wisconsin- See 14. Ohio State

19. Vanderbilt- See 13. Auburn

20. Virgina Tech- vs. Western Kentucky- The only thing the Hiltoppers have going for them is they have Big Red. Other than that, there is no hope for them. VT 41-0

21. Oklahoma State- vs. Texas A&M- Classic matchup of coaches. You got "I'm man, I'm 40!" Mike Gundy and you have the former Packer coach, Mike Sherman. I dont think the Aggies are all that good this year and Sherman will probably screw up another 4th and 26. OSU 31-13

22. Fresno State- vs. Hawaii- Too bad they dont have Colt Brennan for this one. The Warriors are just awful this year and the Bulldogs will destroy them. FRESNO 45-9

23. Oregon- see No.9 USC

24. Connecticut- at. North Carolina- This is going to be a very good game as both teams have a lot to play for. The Huskies have one of the best rushers in Donald Brown and both teams are without their starting quarterback. I think Butch Davis' squad pulls this one out at home. UNC 20-13

25. Wake Forest-Bye

Other Games to watch:
Miami at Florida State (Remember when this use to be the top game of the week and now its just another game, weird.)
Illinois at Michigan
Stanford at Notre Dame
